Oh my word

So how many of your have used your new found vocabulary words in your weekly life? *sheepish look* While I have used it many time in my head and let it roll off my tongue while alone, I am afriad I could not keep a straight face when saying “phsiognomy” to another being. Just thinking about it cracks me up!! *sigh* I am trying and this is a good thing.  I am also very excited about this new word! TAU-TOL-O-GY {taw-tol-uh-jee} is a noun meaning the needless repetition of an idea, especially in words other than those of the immediate context, without imparting additional force or clearness.

“It was her father that I got acquainted with first. And through getting acquainted with him, you see — why — I got acquainted with her, ” said Plornish tautologically.” Little Dorrit page 139

Yes, thank you. I believe we get the point that he was acquainted.
